Tactical Rifleman Special Forces Assaulter Discusses the Tavor X95 Rifle

The gun that you are seeing in this video is the IWI Tavor X95 rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO. The Tavor X95 is a gas-operated gun primarily chambered in 5.56 or 9mm. The Tavor X95 is the next generation bullpup from IWI. Upgrades and enhancements from the original TAVOR include a new fire control pack with a 5-6 lb. trigger pull, repositioning of the ambidextrous mag release to an AR-15 location, a forearm with Picatinny rails at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions with removable rail covers, relocation of the charging handle closer to your center mass, a modular Tavor style pistol grip that can be swapped out to a standard pistol grip with traditional trigger guard and a smaller, lower profile bolt release button. Things that I have done to this X95 is changed the trigger sear pack to a Timney #680 4lb two stage trigger. This is a huge upgrade in finish and trigger feel elevating the Tavor to the expectations of AR-15 match triggers. Timney did a two-stage trigger due to the extended bullpup trigger linkage. I also changed the muzzle brake to one from Dead Air Armament so I can use Dead Air’s Pyro Enhanced Muzzle Brake to help keep the muzzle flash or muzzle blast effecting shooter that might be next to me. Also I’m able to use the Sandman-S suppressor from Dead Air, this is rated for 5.56mm, 300BLK. and 7.62 up to 300 Win Mag. This model is only 6.8” giving only about a overall length of just past 31” when installed on the Tavor X95.
